Your journey begins with a nighttime pickup from your accommodation in Bali. From there, travel to Ijen Volcano, located in Banyuwangi, East Java. The drive covers approximately 180 kilometers (assuming you’re departing from southern Bali; the distance may be shorter if you’re staying near Gilimanuk).
You’ll first be driven to Gilimanuk Port, where you’ll take a ferry across the Bali Strait to Ketapang Port in Banyuwangi. Upon arrival at Ketapang, a local driver will be waiting to take you to the base of Ijen Volcano.
